Der Frankfurter Osten vor 1933:
Jüdisches Museum sucht Zeugen der Zeit
The Jewish Museum Frankfurt/M is searching
for former members of the Jewish community who were living in the East part
of the city from the late 1880's to the 30's in the city of Frankfurt am
Main. An exhibition on the Jewish east end is planed for the spring of 2000.
Like in Berlin, the east end area was a quarter
that was the home of three to four thousand Eastern European Jews who
immigrated from Russia and Poland since the turn of the century. If anybody
has any knowledge on Jews who emigrated from Frankfurt, please inform us.
