Liberale Jüdische Gemeinde Toulouse:
Stellvertretender Vorsitzender ermordet
Zum Tod von Yitzhak Rene Autard
The Association of the Liberal Jews of Toulouse, the Liberal Jewish
Community of Toulouse has the pain to make you share of the death of its
vice president Mr. Yitzhak Rene AUTARD.
Yitzhak Rene Autard, journalist independent, 59 years old, was found
assassinated in its residence.
The vice president of the
Association of Liberal Jews of Toulouse was found murdered in his home last
Friday. A freelance journalist and activist in the community, Rene Itzhak
Autard, 60, was found, according to the police, "in a pool of blood, covered
with pillows," his face and head beaten numerous times with a blunt object.
Mr. Autard joined the founder
members of the Association of the Liberal Jews of Toulouse in 1992. This
made it possible the AJLT to develop and to be at the origin of many
initiatives including commemoration of Yom ha Shoah. He also had dealings
with the Town hall of Toulouse and was a member many associations. As an
Israeli citizen (he had dual nationality), he was very involved
in Israeli-Palestinian dialogue and very appreciated by all.
His generosity and commitment led him to be involved in the creation of a
social restaurant within the framework of the association of the House of
Unemployed of Toulouse; his murder is an immense loss for us the whole
Jewish community.
The community and
friends paid a last homage on Thursday July 7, 2005 at the synagogue.
The funeral took place on Friday 9 July.

surtout chargé de l’organisation des manifestations liées au souvenir de
l’holocauste comme le jour de la Shoah.
