Eva and David, who live in Munich. Two years ago they founded haGalil
Online, the only German language Jewish website (including sites in
Czech, Polish, Hungarian and English) for Central Europe.
They write: "haGalil
onLine is the largest Jewish Website in Europe. We've been
looking for sponsors and advertisers for the past year and a half. Until
now we've managed to develop and maintain haGalil onLine with our own
financial resources.
Unfortunately, none of
our appeals to officals or industry representatives have been met with a
positive response. We are now running low on funds and must call on our
friends and readers for public support.
It is our belief
that,especially in times of resurgent anti-Semitism here in Europe, a
service like the one we provide is vital. If you see any possibility to
support our efforts, we would very much appreciate your help.

haGalil offeres a wide spectrum on Jewish issues,
from Chabad to liberal Judaism. This makes it difficult to obtain
support from Jewish institutions. HaGalil staff respond to more than 60
e-mails a day. If a lack of funds forces them to stop maintaining the
website, the only sites that turn up in the German search engines
concerning "Jews" will be all the anti-Semitic propoganda spread by Nazi
groups and their servers, which are situated in Scandinavian countries
and in the Baltic States.
